John is an American photographer who's work is held in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. He is self taught with additional training coming from his father, Frank Brueske, a respected photographer in his own right and studied photography while attending the University of Wisconsin. Shutterbug magazine (April 2001) says "Wow!..... John Brueske's fine art black and white images are almost brooding in their nature; while his color photographs appear to be a celebration of life" John has traveled and lived extensively throughout the United States. He moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to New Jersey in 1997. It was after this move that he focused on his craft. John typically enjoys using the darkness of night as his canvas. John continues to donate photographs to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Very limited prints were created and auctioned off during last year's Cosmopolitan Ball, which was held by the San Francisco Chapter Affiliate. |
